When a new carpet is fitted in your home, quite often it has come straight from a cold warehouse whereby the backing has significantly contracted due to the glue on the 'secondary' backing reacting to the drop in temperature. Unless the carpet is left in the room / house to acclimatise it will be fitted with the backing stiffer than usual. After a short period of time due to the heat the carpet will 'relax' and the backing will expand slightly. In some cases, but not all, your new carpet may need re-stretching to re-tighten it on the grippers. This is free up to a three month period.
We are quite often able to repair carpet such as burn marks, rips, tears, holes, pet damage and so forth. Before spending out on a new carpet we may be able to save your existing one. Give us a call on 525 200.
